That is not the case with the Moderna booster shots. That can possibly be delayed a bit because of certain circumstances.

So this was said by him on Sunday, and we have to consider this as legit info since it comes from a reliable source. This is actually a plan for a long period of time. The administration has been taking up the decision of the third shot, known as the booster shot, to be administered to the people who have already got the first two shots. This additional shot should be given after 8 months of the second shot that the person has received.
However, these booster shots might also need that FDA approval. This is indeed something that people have been waiting for and keeping up with. If the Pfizer one is available in the market, then it is likely are to get that approval soon enough. However, what happens to Moderna or the other Companies that are making the vaccine is still not known.
“Looks like Pfizer has had been something in their data, they have got it all covered up in, and they are going on the road of likely to be met with the deadline,” the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases told to the media. “We hope that Moderna would also be able to do it, so we could do it simultaneously.”
