The world now desperately needs the rich countries to donate to make sure that they deliver on the pledges that they have made. This is coming from Helen Clark, who is the former prime minister of New Zealand. She made this comment on Monday. This is because of the fact that there had been talks around the world’s biggest economies about sending help to the poorer countries of the world. There has been a meeting among the health ministers and officials of 20 leading Countries with strong economies. They had their meeting in Rome, and it ensured that the Covid vaccine will reach everyone in the world.
Since they have made that pledge, it is high time that they deliver on the pledges because there are still thousands of people all over the world who are not yet vaccinated with the first dose of the covid vaccine.
“The pledges are really good, but they are just one thing, but we are now in a situation where we desperately need the countries to make a delivery on those pledges. As of last week, there had been only a mere number of 89 million doses which have been redistributed from high-income countries out to the low- and middle-income countries,” Clark had made it known to the news.
