Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has made a statement or rather they have made a recommendation for the people. The CDC Director named Dr. Rochelle Walensky has endorsed an independent expert panel’s recommendation which has suggested to the people to use the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for all the people who are 16 years and older. This is under full FDA approval. The panel has a standard recommendation for the people. They passed this out Monday. So we can say that there had been a change that is being brought about in the market.
There is a group known as the COVID-19 Vaccine Safety Technical (VaST) Work Group. This group has presented during the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) meeting Monday. It has made the comments on the fact that there might be some side effects of the vaccine. They have reiterated an increased risk of heart inflammation.
This is mostly found among the vaccinated males who are maybe at or under the age of 30. However, they have stated that the vaccine is still useful for the protection against coronavirus. Even though there are some instances of something going wrong, they have weighed in the option of both the good and bad and they have seen that the benefit will still outweigh the side effects.
“We now have a fully approved COVID-19 vaccine. More on the fact we have also added to it by making sure that the ACIP has added its recommendation,” Walensky has said in his written statement. “If you have been waiting for this approval before you are going to get its vaccine. Then you should now make the move and take the step to get vaccinated. Get the shot and then you will be joining the people who are more than 173 million. They are all already fully vaccinated.”
