Regeneron’s COVID-19 Antibody Reduced Infection Risk By 82% for 8 Months

Biotech giant Regeneron has been working on their antibody cocktail for quite some amount of time. They had now gone ahead and claimed that its antibody cocktail reduces the risk that is possessed by the people who are having the of Covid 19 infection by nearly 82% for eight months. This is what they have so far. The company and that is Biotech have gone ahead and they have announced on Monday that the results of its clinical trials which were being run in partnership with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases had come out and they wanted to share it with the public to show that there is a lot of ways to fight the corona virus and the infection that is spreading.

“During the 8-month assessment period, there were 0 hospitalizations for COVID-19 in the REGEN-COV group and 6 in the placebo group,” Regeneron had said in a statement to the press. “The fully human antibodies in REGEN-COV were developed to provide long-lasting protective effects without any artificial mutations or sequences.”

There had been no deaths that had occurred in the people either. So that is a really good sign.

“With infections still occurring despite widespread vaccination, the immunocompromised face an ongoing risk of encountering the virus during their daily lives,” Dr. George D. Yancopoulos said in a statement to the press. He is the president and chief scientific officer at Regeneron. “We intend to rapidly share these additional data with regulatory authorities to help those in most need of protection from COVID-19.”
