Precordial catch syndrome is a type of chest pain. This mainly occurs in the front part of the chest when nerves in the front of the chest are squeezed or aggravated.

Precordial catch syndrome is also known as Texidor’s twitch. This syndrome commonly affects Children and adolescents.

The pain accompanied by the precordial catch syndrome typically lasts from a few seconds to 3 minutes. This usually occurs when the child is at rest or is in a bending position.

People often report this pain as a sharp stabbing or needle-like pain that occurs in the chest while breathing in.

The pain tends to occur at a specific position of your chest which is right below the left nipple.

This can lead to feeling even worse when the child is taking deep breaths. This pain does not spread to any other part of the chest but remains stagnant in its particular area.

This pain leaves with the same speed it is developed with affecting for a shorter period of time.

Long deep breaths are suggested not to be taken as it hurts more for the moment but if you take those long breaths with Patience, the pain can disappear within the next few minutes.

Bad posture leads to the Precordial catch syndrome so it is suggested to sit straight maintaining a good posture.
